Research Data Management Strategy: Oversight and Review

Oversight and review are necessary for supporting robust RDM. For Coast Mountain College, this will be overseen by the Dean of Business, Access Education & Libraries. For RDM, a committee including representation from the Director of Indigenization, librarians and faculty will be formed to ensure that Research Data Plans (RDPs) are created and adhered to with appropriate support for the researchers and librarians.

The responsibilities of the committee include:

• developing policies and procedures to support RDM
• developing templates for research use in their RDPs
• approving RDPs
• supporting the development of training materials
• supporting the implementation of a data repository
• ensuring that FAIR and OCAP principles are adhered to.
